IPHEX 2026 paved the way for Jatan Export’s success, an API exporter in India, serving international buyers with pharmaceutical raw materials and speciality chemicals. As an MSME and startup company, this was the first stall we exhibited at the IPHEX exhibition. The response was overwhelming, and just after completing a month, we are celebrating the sharp rise in our sales curve. The Indian government, along with Pharmexcil, invited foreign delegates from 128 countries and arranged a portal for pre-scheduling meetings with each of the delegates. For the one-to-one sessions, they provided meeting pods supported with translators and a technical team. This helped Indian exporters a lot to expand their global reach and meet with genuine potential buyers.
Besides, several industry experts, researchers, embassy-nominated officials, and consultants visited our stall to exchange valuable business insights. In this blog, we will share some of our valuable observations and key points about business facts and numbers.
What was the potential value of the business discussed at IPHEX 2026?

The 12th edition of IPEX, held in the year 2026, recorded a proposed business value of USD 5 billion between Indian API suppliers and international buyers. Potential genuine buyers from 128 countries, covering all continents of the world (like Europe, the US, Latin America, the Middle East, South Africa, and Asian countries), visited this exhibition, along with procurement agencies from 15 countries, national researchers, and government officials nominated by different consulates. The business discussion covered not only APIs but also bulk drug exports from India, including formulations, herbal and nutraceutical extracts, industry-grade speciality chemicals, cosmetics, and fortified foods. The average estimation could be defined as 25.8% APIs, 35.1% formulations, and 39% mixed-category products.
This mega event strongly provides evidence that the world is looking to India as the sourcing hub of global pharmaceutical materials. For international customers, this exhibition also addressed certain key points of the market, like supply chain resilience, quality parameters, market access, freight support, compliance, safety, and costing parameters.
How many international buyers visited Jatan Export’s exhibition stall at IPEX 2026?

Approximately 175 international buyers visited, and 97 of them sat for a one-to-one meeting session with a representative of Jatan Exports to discuss their import interest from India. These overwhelming numbers for API supply from India further motivated our team to improve the service parameters and expedite the supply chain procedure post-exhibition. Till date, we are in regular communication with 77 clients from different countries over email or WhatsApp, answer their regular inquiries, and have potential conversions.
In the midst of global turbulence, India’s Ministry of Commerce and Pharmexcel once again reaffirmed India’s position as the pharmacy of the world, where the entire global population is focused on sourcing India-made API from WHO-GMP-certified facilities.
How did IPHEX add to cultural exuberance with economic growth for India?
Besides business, IPHEX also arranged an inauguration event and a gala dinner, preceded by an exclusive ramp show where foreigners performed with Indian songs. They dressed up in Indian ethnic attire representing different states in India. While foreigners were very excited to learn, adopt, and perform the cultural exuberance of India, the exhibitors were applauding the beautiful performance, feeling proud of the culture. One of the delegates from Tunisia proclaimed that it’s not him looking fabulous in an Indian dress but rather it’s the culture that makes any individual look fabulous! The exclusive idea of event management, organising everything seamlessly, and yet providing such a promising platform is highly appreciable to the Indian government.
Adhering to the endeavour of the Indian Government to boost economic growth, Jatan Exports remains dedicated to serving as a potential contributor to API exports from India to the world. Furthermore, we are set to join CPHI events and add value to our company and the Indian pharma industry.
